Have you ever heard of Moxie Girlz? Well, they are a line of cute dolls from MGA Entertainment that promote positive attitude, perseverance, unique style, courage and energy to young girls. Generally, I am turned off by these types of dolls – mainly because they tend to give a false sense of self image to our children along with being scantily dressed. Not Moxie Girlz! Sporting trendy, fully clothed fashions, these dolls encourage fearlessness and determination in expressing one’s self. Caucasian, Asian, African American or Latino – there is a doll for every ethnicity! I gave this Avery Art-titude Bike set to my seven year old cousin for Christmas to gauge her reaction. Of course, she seemed to love it! After coloring the clothes and the bike to death, she moved on to brushing and fixing the doll’s hair…over and over again. My hopes are that she has many more fun, creative times with it all (especially during this long, cold winter.)
