Thrifty Thursday: The Coupon Mother Load

Um…riduclous…yee-aahh…

And believe it or not, I never buy a Sunday paper. I’m fortunate enough that my ever so gracious aunt owns a local gas station. She saves the inserts and gives me a pile, about this size, every two weeks or so. Did you know that if there are any newspapers leftover at a store, managers only have to tear off and turn in the date for credit? The rest of the paper either gets thrown away or recycled! D’oh! All of those coupons down the drain? For shame!

But, here is where you may benefit. Even if your family doesn’t run a convenience store, it might be worth talking to a local manager about saving the coupons for you. Try several gas stations, the library, local restaurants – anywhere that carries the Sunday paper. You might just find yourself with coupons coming out your ears!

Excuse me while I go get a Q-Tip. *wink*
