Here’s the run down from yesterday:
Total: $122.18
- Sales: $36.73
If I ONLY shopped using store sales, my cash total would have been: $85.45
But, by using $29.00 in coupons…my total ended up as:
$56.45
I could have gotten closer to my fifty dollar target…but wouldn’t you know it? No sooner did I get through the produce section, my calculator STOPPED WORKING! Of course, I tried keeping track in my head, but you know how that goes – the phone is ringing, my deli meat wasn’t priced correctly (because I would have NEVER paid $8 for a pound of lunch meat) AND I forgot my pen to keep my list in order.
Total tragedy. Really.
Had I realized I was a whole six bucks over my goal, the extra bag of Sunchips and extra box of Drumstix would have gone back – because we don’t need those anyway.

- 8 Yoplaits: $4.00 – (2x) $1.00 printables - $.40/6 = $1.60 for EIGHT
- Fresh Mozzarella: $4.49 – $.55 Sunday Q = $3.94 (this is a luxury…it IS!)
- Smart Balance Milk: $4.09 – $4.09 Kroger Summer of Savings WINNER – $2.00 Sunday Q = FREE PLUS $2.00! (see what I did there? I stacked a paper coupon on top of an Ecoupon and gained $2.00 off of my groceries – remember that.)
- 4 Jello Cook & Serve Pudding: $4.00 – (2x) $1 Sunday Q’s = $2.00 for FOUR
- 1 Gal. Milk: $2.29 – $2.29 Kroger Deal – free gallon of milk with 2 boxes of Kellogg’s cereal = FREE (so, in all, I got 4 boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk for $3.52)
- Trop 50 OJ: $2.93 – $1.00 Sunday Q = $1.93
- 3 rolls Bounty Basics paper towels: $3.72 – (3x) $1 Bounty P&G rebate Q’s = $.72 for THREE
- Coffeemate Vanilla Creamer: $2.99 – $1 Sunday Q = $1.99

Even though I went over my budget a few bucks, not too shabby, eh?
