"Classic" Target cashier story. I go through all the trouble of making my list, lining up my coupons and getting exactly the correct products to qualify for all coupons, right? I have the bad luck of getting in the line of a clueless cashier. When she looks at an item for which I have two coupons - one target and one manufacturer's, she loudly tells me that Target doesn't accept "grocery coupons". I ask her if she is talking about the manufacturer's coupon and she says yes. I ask her to call another cashier over who is more familiar with coupon policy. She sighs and asks someone to come over. The next cashier looks at the coupon and puts it through, then attempts to leave. I ask her to please stay because I have a whole stack of coupons and I want them to be correctly processed. So, she takes over and the first cashier acts astonished that all my coupons go through. AAAARGGGHHHH!!!!! :P

My Wal-mart cashier last time was Wonderful! I bought about $100 worth of stuff and had a ton of coupons. While scanning the coupons she said "You did really well, coupon matching. A lot of times people will get the wrong item or the wrong size, but yours all match." When all the coupons had been scanned she said, "Wow! You saved almost 50 bucks! That's awesome!" I love it when the cashiers are nice, and when they get excited seeing someone save a lot of money. :)

With stories like these, I really wonder what is wrong with me that I can't get a job.... :) Probably because I haven't applied to Walmart yet...
